In cooperation with the Wrocław High School of Applied Informatics, as a part of a project funded by the European Union from the European Social Fund under the Human Capital Operational Program, the "Computational Methods in Technical Translations" course was developed and introduced into the curriculum of the Postgraduate College of Specialized Translations and Computer Tools. The curriculum was offered by this school from 2009 to 2011.
Since 2011 we have been collaborating with the Philological School of Higher Education (WSF) in Wrocław. In cooperation with this school our company organizes the Translator and the Computer conference cycle. The first conference in this cycle was organized in April 2012. This cycle is focused on the various applications of information technology in linguistics - from typically scientific problems to the practical use of IT tools in the translator’s work.
In 2013, we have begun our patronage of the Postgraduate Studies for Specialist and Sworn Translators and Interpreters of German at the WSF. To this end, we have prepared a proprietary educational program for the "Computer assisted translation tools and their usage" course. This class is taught by the CM's members and it is now part of the curriculum for the first year postgraduate students.
CM has also prepared internship programs for students in various specializations in the following areas of expertise:
- Technical translation,
- Translation project management,
- Employment of information technology in translation services,
- Translation services sales and marketing.
These internships give an opportunity to learn how to put theory learnt at university into practice in a real-life business environment and they have become increasingly popular among young people.
Another educational initiative is the "Świat dla Młodych" (World for the Young) scholarship scheme. Launched in 2011, this scheme is intended for middle and secondary school students. Its purpose is to award scholarships to students showing exceptional talents in learning foreign languages, who are also active in school and beyond. New editions of the "Świat dla Młodych" scholarship scheme are carried out every year.
While working, we constantly improve our skills, develop new solutions, and optimize various stages of the localization project management process. We promote good practices and share them with others as we believe that the promotion of high quality is good for the market and improves our standing and image.Read more
Centrum Lokalizacji CM offers not only commercial services. We also share our knowledge with students and everyone who may be interested in learning how a modern localization company operates on a daily basis. The internship program is targeted primarily at future translators but we also invite people interested in implementation of practical IT knowledge, or gaining sales and project management expertise.Read more
