Online translation service, delivered by means of Translation Portal™ offers customers near real-time translation of short texts into multiple languages. This service is intended only for texts which are at most 500 character long, in plain text format, with no graphics included. It is perfectly fit for translating press releases, news, announcements, etc.
A customer enters a source text on a special web page, and then chooses target languages. The application sends the text to translators and the project manager in charge. The translation is completed within the time limit specified by the customer (e.g. in 1 hour). The customer will be able to receive the translated text on the same web page directly after it is approved by the project manager.
This approach eliminates the traditional project management model - sending a text to a project manager, then to translators, back to the manager, and finally to the customer - everything is done automatically. Short texts are translated online into multiple languages within several minutes.
Settlement methods include lump sum payments or paying by word - the application automatically calculates a wordcount and sends an appropriate report to both the project manager and the customer.
On customer's request, the process may include proofreading. All details, e.g. the response time, the number of translators "on duty", access rights, etc. are negotiated individually with each customer.
