Quality and Terminology Management, and Business Terms and Conditions for Translation and Localisation Services.
C&M actively participated in the TM-Europe 2009 international conference, which was held in the Marriott hotel, Warsaw on 1-2 October.
Michal Tyszkowski was one of the panelist of the discussion focusing on the importance of quality assurance in the localization process. The discussion included a presentation of the unique concept of Computer Aided Proofreading, which is being developed by C&M, as well as other issues related to translation quality assurance and quality control.
The remaining panelists, Claire Johnstone of Medtronic and Mark Childress of SAP, presented quality assurance procedures employed in industries where the proper use of terminology is critical.
The majority of speeches and discussions held during the conference emphasized the significance of terminology quality management in the development of translation services market. Only those service providers who implement procedures and tools needed for maintaining high quality of translation together with advanced terminology management tools will be able to meet the requirements of today's market.
