Medical translations are one of the most demanding types of translation services. Rapid progress in this area means that very often there is no fixed terminology for various therapeutic methods. Hence, finding the appropriate terminology requires reading scientific literature and consultation with practicing physicians.
An additional difficulty is the enormous responsibility taken by translators. Inaccurate translation of an instruction may cause incorrect handling of equipment, which may in turn expose patients to health risks and even lead to loss of life. In the case of medical translations, therefore, we pay the greatest attention to the creation of specialized terminology databases and highly scrupulous proofreading.
The texts that C&M translates most often into Polish and English languages include user manuals of medical devices (computer tomography systems, ultrasound systems, X-ray equipment, defibrillators, surgical generators, hematology analyzers, endoscopy and laparoscopy equipment), software interfaces and manuals (for hematology analyzers, ECG devices, diagnostic imaging systems), leaflets for disposable accessories (catheters, guidewires, stents, endoprostheses), as well as descriptions of biochemical assays and clinical trials.
