Localization Project Management Certification.
On 14–15 May 2009 in Cologne, Germany, a C&M's representative participated in a series of workshops ending with the Localization Project Management Certification examination.
The workshops were hosted by California State University, Chico Center for Regional and Continuing Education and Research Foundation, GALA in collaboration with The Localization Institute.
During the two-day meeting a group of experts discussed the key issues related to translation project planning and management, software localization, internal communication within production teams, and communication with external customers. In addition, tools supporting the work of project managers were presented, including translation project planning and management software as well as applications for translation management and quality assurance.
The workshops were attended by project managers and translators from a number of European countries. It was an opportunity for participants, as well as lecturers, to share professional experiences and learn from each other.
The C&M's representative received a certificate confirming the participation in the Localization Project Management Certification training.
